This wool is a double knit construction which means both sides feature knit stitches. Typically this fabric does not have a right vs wrong side, so either may be used. We recommend keeping the selected right side consistent throughout the garment should there be any slight differences between either side. This wool features a melton like finish which creates a slightly raised and brushed surface that is soft and not at all scratchy. Melton wools are typically used for outer garments but it would work beautifully for sweaters, cardigans, blazers and so much more.

Fabric Care: The wool composition makes this a special care fabric. You will need to handwash with cool water (preferable), or use the delicate cycle with little to no agitation and hang/lay flat to dry. You may also choose to steam clean. Prior to sewing, it is advised to pretreat this fabric as you will treat your finished garment as the fabric may shrink some depending on your care routine. Wool is wonderful fiber, incredibly insulating and worth the extra care. Wool also has antimicrobial/antibacterial properties by nature and will require less washing than other fibers.
